The cost raising of Oak raw material causes big trouble in global wood flooring market.
All of the floor factory in China are facing a big problem of the Oak price raising.That is mainly because of the shipping company Hanjin bankruptcy. Also because of the Euro is very low at the moment.
Nowadays the shipping freight of the European Oak to China is getting crazy from Euro 800/container to Euro 3800/container… One CBM European Oak log is now 40 Euro higher.So the Timber square of European Oak cost raised from RMB 4400/cbm to RMB 6500/cbm. which is almost 50% raise.
And Russian Oak is more expensive too.. There used to have 40 sawn mill working by the border of Russian and China for veneer sawing and distributor to all over China, From this year theRussian government start a more strict regulation of exporting logs, so nowadays only 13 suppliers is still survive..
The price for flooring become very sensitive, Most of the factory have to raise their price but for overseas market still need time to adapt it. Some of them even get problem of the shortage of material and not able to deliver the orders on time.
Anyhow we will still always offer our best price to all customers. Just try to get through the difficult time.
